Wendy Culross has extensive experience at all levels of criminal litigation. She has frequently appeared in the High Court of Justiciary Appeal Court, High Court, and Sheriff and Jury Courts since her call in 2013.
Prior to calling to the Bar Wendy specialised in complex road traffic and forensic evidence cases. She prosecuted many cases at Sheriff and Jury level as well as dealing with the procedural and policy aspects of the criminal justice system.
Since calling in 2013, Wendy has built up significant experience in both first instance and appellate courts in Scotland. Wendy frequently appears as sole junior and as leading junior in all kinds of criminal cases, including those of the most serious and complex nature.
Wendy is one of the most experienced juniors appearing in the High Court of Justiciary Appeal Court and has also appeared frequently in the Sheriff Appeal Court. Wendy has appeared in and addressed the United Kingdom Supreme Court, as junior counsel for the first appellant in Daly & Keir v HM Advocate [2025] UKSC 38.
