Since calling to the Bar, Eve has been instructed in relation to a variety of criminal matters as both sole counsel and as junior to leader, and in personal injury cases including clinical negligence.
Eve called to the Bar in 2026 as a Lord Hope Scholar.
Prior to devilling, Eve trained as a solicitor with a top UK firm, where she gained experience in a wide range of litigation including personal injury, commercial litigation and professional negligence. After qualification as a solicitor, Eve worked in the Health & Safety team, with exposure to road traffic prosecutions, Fatal Accident Inquiries, and HSE/EHO investigations. Prior to qualification, Eve worked as a paralegal and court runner for many years involved in Court of Session litigation. Eve completed the Law Society of Scotland professional examinations as an alternative to the traditional LLB route.
During devilling, Eve gained particular experience in a wide range of criminal matters including charges of murder, assault to severe injury, domestic abuse and sexual offences, as well as public law and personal injury. Eve gained experience in first instance work at the Sheriff Court, ASPIC and High Court, as well as appeal work in the Inner House and the Criminal Appeal Court.
Eve is a member of the Scottish Association for the Study of Offending (SASO).
