Optimum Advocates

Optimum Advocates (formerly Mackinnon Advocates) is the only group within the Faculty of Advocates based in the City of Glasgow, whilst at the same time retaining a presence in Edinburgh.

Currently one of the largest stables of Advocates, our Counsel are increasingly instructed as the most effective source of legal representation in Scotland.

As a leading provider of Referral Legal Services in Scotland, Optimum Advocates includes some of the best known and highly regarded Advocates at all levels of seniority presently in practice. Instructing solicitors tell us that what sets Optimum Advocates apart from other stables is our approach to serving clients best. This has led Optimum Advocates to extend beyond our origins in criminal law, where we are rightly regarded as pre-eminent, to include highly regarded practitioners in other fields, including Commercial, Family, Employment, Immigration and Regulatory Law.

We provide representation for clients in all Courts throughout Scotland, Tribunals, Hearings and Enquiries at all levels, both in Scotland and elsewhere in the UK.

Our Advocates’ experience and special interests are wide ranging as can be seen from their areas of practice as detailed on their individual profile pages on the website.
We accept instructions on both a legal aid and private client basis.

Please contact our Practice Manager in the first instance to discuss instructions and prior agreement on fees.
